ENGLISH TEACHER - Long Term Substitute

Starting May 26, 2026

 

 

The successful candidate will:

• Promote 21^st century educational excellence through the vigorous support of the mission and goals of The Woodstock Academy; and


• Facilitate individual, departmental and school excellence through the support of high-quality personnel, reinforcement of best instructional practices, encouragement of a culture of collaboration, and a focus on learning.

 

Minimum qualifications: 

• CT 015 certification;


• Demonstrated excellence in secondary school instruction, block schedule teaching experience preferred;


• Demonstrated knowledge of process-focused writing, the development of critical thinking skills through literary analysis, and the application of grammar fundamentals to improve written and oral expression;


• Experience or familiarity with best practices for teaching English Language Learners;


• Experience with current instructional technology; and


• Positive attitude, personal and professional integrity, and a high value placed on collaboration and professional growth.
