RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure ongoing SIF programming excellence, evaluation and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications and systems, recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve strategic goals.
- Monitor the general culture and economies of the employee populations of HFE properties so that SIF programs can be properly matched to the needs of those eligible for SIF assistance.
- Stay abreast of developments in the national, state or local arenas related to employee hardship funds.
- Develop, maintain and support a strong Board of Directors; serve as ex-officio member of each board committee; seek and build board involvement with strategic direction for both ongoing local operation as well as future rollouts.
- Lead, coach and develop SIF staff. Regularly evaluate organizational structure, recommending any improvements to the Board.
- Coordinate SIF board meetings to include gathering of coordinators’ reports, financial statements, and other pertinent information; preparing presentations as needed; distributing pre-meeting materials; and responding to board member questions and requests.
- Ensure effective systems to track key details of all SIF programs, and regularly evaluate program components, so as to measure successes and/or gaps that can be effectively communicated to the board, donors and company leadership, and/or used for identifying needed program modifications.
- Prepare long-term plans and recommend strategies for SIF based on projected funding levels and desired program additions.
- Advance SIF fundraising efforts by identifying fundraiser opportunities, managing relationships with major donors, and coordinating marketing opportunities.
- Perform other duties as requested by SIF board president.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong passion for the mission of SIF.
- Proven leadership, coaching and relationship management experience.
- Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Solid grasp of financial statement concepts. Ability to read & understand statements and glean highlights and key indicators.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
- Flexibility - willingness to learn, ability to adapt to change, solve problems as they arise and tolerate stress well.
- Friendly, positive attitude, honest and dependable.
