Job Description

This role focuses on the development of high-performance, real-time command and control (C2) applications. The engineer is responsible for building both the robust backend APIs (Go/Node.js/WebSockets) and the intuitive frontend interfaces (React, TypeScript) that utilize WebGL for 3D geospatial track visualization. The primary goal is to translate complex AI data into a trustworthy, low-cognitive-load experience for mission operators.

Description

Primary Responsibilities (Operational Duties)

  • Frontend C2 Interface Development: Develop, test, and maintain high-performance, responsive frontend interfaces for Command and Control (C2) operations using React and TypeScript.
  • Real-Time Visualization: Implement complex, real-time 3D geospatial data visualizations utilizing WebGL and libraries such as Three.js to display AI-derived track data, sensor coverage, and operational status.
  • Backend API Development: Build robust, high-speed backend APIs using Go (preferred) or Node.js to handle authentication, data processing, and state management.
  • Real-Time Data Streaming: Implement secure, persistent connections utilizing WebSockets and gRPC to stream AI inference results and sensor feeds from the backend services to the client with minimal latency.
  • UX/Operator Collaboration: Conduct direct collaboration with military operators to design and refine Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) workflows and User Experience (UX) that directly reduce cognitive load during high-stress, time-critical events.
  • Security & Access Control: Implement and administer secure authentication protocols (OAuth/OIDC) and robust Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) mechanisms across the application stack.

Basic Qualifications (Experience & Technical Stack)

  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in Full Stack Development, with a concentration on real-time, data-intensive applications.
  • At least 3+ years of proficiency in modern frontend frameworks, specifically React and TypeScript.
  • Demonstrated experience with graphics programming for visualization (WebGL, Three.js, or map SDKs).
  • Proficiency in backend development using Go or Node.js.
  • Strong experience implementing relational database solutions, particularly PostgreSQL, and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Expertise implementing and utilizing real-time communication protocols like WebSockets.
  • Experience with security and authorization standards (e.g., RBAC, OAuth/OIDC).
  • The candidate shall have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+) certification preferred.
  • Must be eligible for a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
