Mission: Manage In-house Employment Practice and Support Commercial Practice for Busy Consumer Products Company
KEY RESULT AREAS Time Utilization
- Advise Human Resources and other Management 30%
regarding employment and employee relations matters,
including pre-litigation dispute resolution.
- Manage outside counsel in employment litigation 10%
- Draft, negotiate and manage employment, independent contracter
and vendor agreements. 10%
- Manage outside counsel on immigration matters 10%
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements 30%
- Other commericial projects and assignments as needed. 10%
Education/Experience:
- Must have a JD from an accredited school of law
- Must have a 4 year undergraduate degree
- 6-10 years’ experience as a successful employment attorney
Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate
- Well organized, flexible and multi-task oriented
- Must be a motivated self-starter who can work independently
- Must be able to exercise good judgment and make decisions
- Strong, driven and hard working.
- Comfortable Working Internationally
Authority:
- Reports to the General Counsel
Key Result Areas:
- Knowledge- Maintain Expertise and Advise on current state of the law regarding California statutory requirements and restrictions.
- Agreements- Draft, execute, and manage the performance of Employment, Consultant and Vendor agreements
- Policies- Update and Maintain company employment-related documents and policies.
- All other duties as assigned and/or needed.
Salary:
$175,000 - $200,000 /year
