    The Chappaqua Central School District is a community of six schools serving approximately 3500 students in Westchester County.   We are seeking excellent educators who can provide high-quality instruction and build authentic, supportive relationships with students.     Chappaqua CSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the anticipated probationary positions of Elementary Teacher at the elementary level effective September 2, 2026.

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

    • Fosters a welcoming classroom environment that nurtures emotional well-being and a sense of belonging.
    • Uses NYS standards educational research to inform instructional practices.
    • Uses formative assessments to gauge student understanding.
    • Has experience with evidence-based social-emotional learning strategies to promote emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the RULER approach is preferred.
    • Uses knowledge of students and student performance when planning lessons.
    • Infuses culturally relevant practices to ensure that lessons reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all students.
    • Integrates diverse perspectives and voices into instructional materials and resources to broaden students' understanding of the world.
    • Maintains high expectations for all students.
    • Engages in regular, collaborative professional development with the understanding that team efficacy is greater than individual efforts alone.

    Certification/Experience: 

    • Required: NYS Early Childhood Education B-2 OR PreK-6 Certification
