The Distribution Center Supervisor supports daily operations for a new repack and fulfillment facility near South Bend, IN. The Supervisor oversees hourly team members performing receiving, repack, quality, warehousing, and distribution activities. They ensure safe, accurate, and efficient execution of work processes while coaching team members, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement.
The position reports to the Distribution Center Manager and plays a key role in maintaining smooth day‑to‑day operations, supporting process improvements, and fostering a strong team culture.
Initial operations will typically run one day shift, Monday through Friday, but may change based on customer needs and program growth.

1. Leadership & Team Development

Responsibilities:
- Provide daily leadership, feedback, and support to team members.
- Ensure employees understand expectations and work instructions.
- Interview, select and provide onboarding/training for new hires.

- Conduct regular “pre-shift” meetings and other communications as needed.

Critical Skills: safety practices, attention to detail, regulatory knowledge, 6S
Responsibilities:
- Model and enforce safety practices, PPE usage, and compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct safety checks and correct unsafe behaviors immediately.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard‑free work areas. Drive a 6S culture.
- Lead preshift stretching/warm-up and regular safety training.
- Troubleshoot issues and escalate appropriately.
4. Quality, Inventory Accuracy & PerFORMANCE
Critical Skills: quality inspection, basic math, analytical thinking, accuracy, documentation, computer skills
Responsibilities:
- Verify work quality and adherence to customer specifications.
- Support inventory controls including counts, tracking, and discrepancy resolution.
- Communicate quality issues, discrepancies, or process concerns to the Manager quickly.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement activities to enhance productivity.
- Use systems, scanners, and other technology effectively.
- Enter data accurately and prepare reports as required.
5. Communication & Collaboration
Critical Skills: verbal and written communication, professionalism, relationship building, teamwork, reliability
Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, customers, and other company personnel when needed.
- Support issue escalation and help resolve day‑to‑day operational questions.
- Provide regular updates and collaborate with team members to maintain smooth operations.
- Represent the company and program with professionalism in routine interactions.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations and customer needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Warehousing, kitting/repack, fulfillment, or distribution operations
- Lead or supervisory role
- Fast‑paced production environment with shifting priorities
- English language – verbal and written
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred additional education preferred
