Terrestris Global Solutions is seeking reliable and safety-focused CDL Drivers to support government contracting operations on a temporary, as-needed basis. This role supports mission-critical logistics activities involving the transport and repositioning of a variety of government and contractor-owned vehicles and equipment, including heavy equipment carriers, refrigeration vehicles, passenger vehicles, fuel tankers, and school buses.

So, what will CDL Drivers do?
The CDL Driver will safely operate and transport a variety of vehicles and equipment, including heavy machinery, refrigerated trucks, passenger vehicles, and fuel tankers—in support of government contracting operations. While generally our vehicles will not have cargo, when there is cargo, the CDL Driver will be responsible for securing the cargo in compliance with all DOT regulations and safety standards, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate logs and documentation, and coordinating with dispatch to meet mission requirements. The CDL Driver will also adapt to changing operational needs, ensure proper handling of specialized or hazardous materials when applicable, and uphold Terrestris Global Solutions’ commitment to safety, reliability, and mission excellence.
What does a typical day look like for a CDL Driver?
You will:
- Safely operate CDL-class vehicles, including heavy equipment transporters, refrigerated trucks, passenger vehicles, buses, and fuel tankers
- Secure various types of cargo in compliance with DOT and company regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness
- Maintain accurate logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety standards
- Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to meet delivery schedules and mission requirements
- Respond to changing operational needs with flexibility and professionalism
- Ensure proper handling and transport of hazardous materials (if applicable and certified)
What qualifications do you look for?
You might be the professional we’re looking for if you have:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (Class A or B, as required)
- Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety
- Experience transporting heavy equipment, vehicles, or specialized cargo
- Ability to operate a variety of transport vehicles, including tankers and refrigerated units
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to lift, secure, and manage heavy loads
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Eligible to gain access to U.S. military base (U.S. citizen, authorized non-U.S. citizen, clean background, etc.)
We will be extra impressed if you have:
- Hazmat and/or Tanker endorsements
- Passenger endorsement
- Experience supporting government or military operations
- Familiarity with load securement standards for heavy equipment
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Temporary, on-call/as-needed basis depending on contract requirements
- Work may include extended hours, weekends, and travel
- Outdoor and field-based work in varying conditions
