Technical Training
- Lead classroom and hands-on practical training classes for both Normet internal personnel and Normet customers, maintaining and operating Normet equipment
- Assist in working through complex Normet product-related issues, supporting both internal and external stakeholders in mining and tunneling applications
- Develop regional training material and props to support training classes
- Subject matter expert on Normet fleet, navigating through interrelated software, digital applications, document libraries, and product-specific platforms
- Provide feedback to Normet factories and the global technical training team, helping improve the global training program and equipment operation, using both the technical feedback system and factory-level networks
- Ability to assist with equipment installations and training demonstrations, supporting service and sales staff
- Technical resource in new product and technology development, along with continuous improvement initiatives in the Services department
- Support Normet North America’s competency development plans for technicians and customer technical documentation requirements related to service area projects
- Support warranty investigations and root cause analysis from a Technical Specialist position
- Ability to create customized technical documentation, including manuals & training materials for specific applications
- Active work within the Normet Global Technical Support ticketing system
Management Support
- Ability to work independently in developing and leading classroom/shop activities in a safe and organized manner, representing Normet’s professional approach to training
- Ability to assist account management teams with subject matter expertise, at times in presentations to the customer
Stakeholder Management
- Customer-focused to positively support the growth of Normet
- Customers include both internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to conduct work in a professional manner
- Ability to conduct customer visits, localized training sessions, and present reports to different levels of authority
- Global support during North America time zones, for all customers requiring remote training assistance
HSEQ – Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality
- Complies with all Normet policies with HSEQ
- Active participant in ensuring Normet operations and products support HSEQ initiatives
- Support to risk assessments, incident investigations, and product-related legislative safety specifications, North America
- Ability to support the creation and updating of HSEQ documentation where applicable
Personal Responsibility
- Ensures compliance to Normet Values, & Normet Policies, and Procedures
- Continuous improvement journey with behaviors supporting improved product knowledge, learning and development, and competency training
- Retain existing industry certifications, and where applicable, acquire updates and advancements
- Active contributor and team member in both the sales and service teams, North America
The successful candidate must be legally eligible to work in the country where this position is located. The company will require proof of this prior to commencing employment. The company will not be sponsoring applicants to obtain a work permit.
Salary range for role $50.00 CAD per hour - $60.00 CAD per hour
