About the Role
This role is part of CAI Software's Graphics Communications BU and will contribute to Slingshot. The position is based in
Bangalore with a hybrid work model (2 days per week in-office, remainder remote).
The Lead Software Engineer will serve as the technical lead and delivery owner for applications built on the Servoy
platform, ensuring business-critical solutions are designed, developed, and delivered with high quality and scalability.
This role combines strong hands-on development expertise with technical leadership, guiding the team through full
stack application development using Servoy technologies.
You will work closely with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to design and deliver
end-to-end solutions leveraging JavaScript for business logic, SQL for database management, Servoy Titanium for
responsive UI development, and ServoyCloud for DevOps and deployment. In addition to hands-on development, you
will mentor engineers, drive engineering standards, and ensure the platform evolves to meet future business needs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Act as a Lead Software Engineer within the engineering organization, owning technical delivery for Servoy-based
applications
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of full-stack Servoy applications
• Develop and optimize JavaScript-based business logic across client and server layers
• Design, write, and optimize SQL queries, data models, and database integrations
• Build responsive and scalable user interfaces using Servoy Titanium (Angular-based designer)

• Own and support application deployment, automation, and monitoring using ServoyCloud
• Collaborate closely with product managers, QA, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into
technical solutions
• Drive technical design decisions, coding standards, and best practices across the team
• Review code and designs to ensure maintainability, performance, and security
• Identify opportunities to improve architecture, performance, and developer productivity
• Plan, estimate, and deliver work across multiple concurrent initiatives
• Mentor and guide senior and junior software engineers
• Present technical designs, progress, and risks to engineering leadership and stakeholders
You will be a good fit if you are:
• 10+ Yrs of relevant experience (guideline).
• Own end-to-end technical delivery across core Avanti functional areas, drive design and code quality, and lead
production issue triage and performance remediation (UI, DB, and latency). Requires expert JavaScript, strong
Java and JVM knowledge, expert SQL Server, advanced performance tuning plus concurrency and locking
concepts, along with mentoring/technical ownership and security awareness.
• Strong hands-on experience with Servoy application development
• Proficient in JavaScript for enterprise business logic
• Strong in SQL, including database design, query optimization, and data integrity
• Experienced with Servoy Titanium for building responsive, Angular-based user interfaces
• Familiar with ServoyCloud for CI/CD, deployment, and environment management
• Comfortable working across the full application stack
• Experienced in leading teams and owning technical delivery
• Analytical, solution-oriented, and capable of solving complex technical problems
• A strong communicator who collaborates effectively with technical and business stakeholders
We would welcome (but not required):
• Experience modernizing or scaling existing Servoy applications
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and DevOps best practices
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
• Experience working in a global or distributed engineering organization
• Prior experience mentoring or leading multi-level engineering teams
