Job Description

Established in 1997 as a Dowa Japan business unit, Dowa THT America, Inc. provides the customer a state of the art heat treatment environment, with fully automated carburizing and nitriding furnaces. 

Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Manager will have responsibility for the following:

  • Preparation and processing for the bi-weekly payroll and a monthly payroll.
  • Maintenance and change actions for ADP Workforce Now, including reporting, new hires, terminations, schedules, pay codes, etc.
  • Management and facilitation of the new hire onboarding process.
  • Creation and maintenance of position descriptions.
  • Full life cycle recruiting, using ICIMS ATS.  
  • Administer the Company Benefits via Navigator.
  • Authoring of the Bi-monthly company newsletter.
  • Managing the company uniform program with Cintas.
  • Planning company events a couple times per year, in addition to contests/fun events.
  • Projects as assigned.
  • Maintain the I-9 process and document control.
  • Manage lockers, timeclock, access badge program.
  • Support for the EHS Manager as needed.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years in an HR role, with 3 of those as a Manager level, in an industrial environmentNo exceptions.
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field of study is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Must have working experience prepping, processing payroll and administering an HRIS such as ADP Workforce Now, Paycor, Workday, etc.    
  • Active HR certification  or a desire to obtain a certification.
  • A proficient working knowledge of compliance law.
  • A knowledge and respect for the nuances of a small company.  Our headcount is under 100 and we operate on a 24/7 basis.
  • A diligent desire for accuracy, a character of integrity and agility in managing and completing projects.

The target compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $125,000 (DOE).
