| Position Highlights | The laboratory of Dr. Meagan McManus in the Center for Innovation in Brain Science (CIBS) and Department of Pharmacology at the University of Arizona is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on research projects related to mitochondrial function, brain metabolism, and neuroinflammation in neurodegenerative diseases and cardiomyopathy. Ongoing research in the McManus lab focuses on investigating the role of mitochondrial genetics and signaling in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, and the development of novel mitochondrial biomarkers and preventative therapeutics for chronic age-associated diseases. Candidates are expected to have research experience in neuroscience, molecular biology, immunology, or endocrinology, be passionate about conducting research both independently and collaboratively, and enjoy the thrills of a fast-paced and growing research environment.
