    Community Unit School District 308 (SD308) is seeking qualified candidates to become School Bus Monitors for the district.

    Start/End Times: Vary based on routes � split shift is generally between 5:45am�9:15am and 1:45pm�5:15pm

    COMPENSATION:

    • 16.00 p/h
    • Monthly attendance Bonus
    • Longevity Bonus
    • Please note that the hourly rate of pay is inclusive of the mandatory 4.5% retirement contribution to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 21 years of age (or older) with high school diploma or equivalent.
    • In a timely manner, handle emergency situations, evaluations and administer first aid.
    • Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug, alcohol, background and TB testing.
    • Knowledge of or ability to learn safety.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist bus driver with the safety, movement, management and care of students
    • Learn and adapt to each student's medical, physical, communicative and emotional needs
    • Serve as a role model demonstrating positive attitude and self-control
    • Protect the confidentiality of student records and information
    • Responsible to secure students who use child safety restraint systems
