US Farathane is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator for our Tech Center in Auburn Hills, MI.
The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative assistance to our corporate purchasing team. The candidate needs to be detail orientated in a fast-paced organization with the ability to handle numerous varying tasks. Accuracy, accountability and communication are key attributes. Many of these tasks are structured and repetitive, however there will be times where extraordinary tasks are required in support of the department’s functions.
This position will work onsite at our Corporate Tech Center in Auburn Hills, MI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Supports Capital Buyer with all administrative functions of the Capital Expenditure Request (CER) process. This includes processing purchase orders, assigning CER numbers, tracking capital spending, scanning and filing approved and completed Capital Expenditure Requests.
- Supports Indirect Buyer with all administrative functions of the Indirect purchasing process. This includes creating and updating blanket PO’s, maintaining material handling spreadsheets, working with plants and vendors to collect usage and spend data for future projects.
- Supports Commodity Buyers with monthly and quarterly price changes based on indexed pricing as requested.
- Responsible for adding approved new vendors and changes into the system.
- Creates all purchased and intercompany part numbers.
- Processes ECN part number changes and purchase order amendments.
- Sets up part numbers and amends purchase orders for tool transfers.
- Creation and amendment of blanket and spot buy PO’s when required for Indirect, Capital and Production.
- Maintains vendor minority certifications. Keeps accurate spreadsheet and working with vendors to keep current certifications on file.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or related work experience.
- Proficient with Excel/Word/PowerPoint and general PC skills.
- Self-Motivated, Disciplined and organized.
