Position Summary:
Our nursing home is seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Director to lead our housekeeping department and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents. The Housekeeping Director will be responsible for overseeing all cleaning and sanitation operations within the facility, leading a team of housekeeping staff, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Housekeeping Director Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all areas of the facility are cleaned and maintained to meet health and safety standards.
Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures, ensuring timely and thorough completion of tasks.
Supervise, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and high-quality performance.
Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are fully stocked and in good working condition.
Perform regular inspections of the facility to ensure cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards are consistently met.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations, as well as facility policies.
Address specific cleaning or sanitation needs requested by residents, families, or staff.
Manage the housekeeping department budget, controlling costs and tracking expenses.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and optimal care for residents.

Housekeeping Director Qualifications:

A very hands-on approach to managing housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
High school diploma or equivalent (additional training in facility management or housekeeping preferred).
Experience in a supervisory or management role in housekeeping, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols.
Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
