Description -
This role is responsible for formulating organization-wide methodologies and architectures for the design and implementation of quality requirements in product development and manufacturing processes. The role evaluates product designs and production activities and assumes responsibility for tracking and reporting various quality-related performance metrics. The role identifies and assesses new technologies, process innovations for continuous quality enhancement.
Responsibilities
Develops organization-wide architectures and methodologies for design and integration of quality engineering into development, design, and manufacturing of products and solutions.
Leads large and cross-functional teams, addresses and solves cross-team issues, foster teamwork and collaborations, ensuring continuous quality improvement.
Reviews and evaluates product and solution designs and production activities for potential quality issues.
Provides tangible feedback based on results and root-cause analysis and designs and implements solutions to improve product quality and mitigate risk of failures.
Leads overall tracking and reporting of various quality related performance metrics and reports against the same.
Identifies and evaluates new technologies, process innovations, and outsourced partner relationships for alignment with strategy roadmap and business value.
Creates plans for integration and update into design and production architecture.
Leverages innovative ideas and exercises independent judgment to solve unique and complex quality problems.
Acts as a functional manager within quality engineering, developing strategy and setting functional policy and direction.
Provides mentoring and guidance to less-experienced staff members to set an example of quality engineering design and development, innovation, and excellence.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
10+ years of work experience, preferably in quality assurance, reliability, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
