Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for assistant coaches for the following Spring sports at Springfield High School:

• Baseball


• Softball


• Track & Field


• Golf


• Tennis


• Activity Leader

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications: 

• Coaching experience at the high school level in the sport/activity for which your are applying;


• Knowledge of and experience in the sport/activity for which you are applying;


• Ability and experience working with high school students;


• Ability and experience working with parents, fellow coaches and school district staff;


• Effective and positive communication skills;


• Ability to work within school district guidelines and budget;


• Valid First Aid card;


• Availability for daily practices and matches;


• Fundraising knowledge and/or capabilities;


• Understanding of OSAA rules and regulations;


• Good organizational skills;


• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check;


• Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity.

 

Salary:

Stipend will be based on the type of sport/activity and your previous paid assistant coaching/activity leading experience in the sport/activity for which you are applying.
