Description

AmeriQual Foods is seeking a results-driven Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. This role is responsible for driving performance, optimizing processes, and leading teams to meet production goals while maintaining the highest standards in safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production teams to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets
  • Drive a culture of quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Foster a positive, respectful work environment that supports employee engagement and development
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues; identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and enforce standards consistently
  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees while monitoring performance and productivity
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and product quality

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or related field strongly preferred
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing management, preferably in process-oriented operations; 3+ years in a food production environment (ideally in ready-to-eat)
  • Proven work experience as a plant or production supervisor
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, team building, mentoring and people management skills
  • Ability to lead by example and positively influence others
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, ability to make decisions, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
  • Experience with USDA, GMP’s, SQF, HACCP, OSHA, and other industry related regulations

 

Physical Requirements 

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds.   Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.   Position will also frequent the production floor, so operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required.  Work is completed in a facility where nuts, fruits and other allergens are present.
