Responsibilities
- Research, select and proactively engage with target end users in a growing number of markets and application areas including: Corporate AV, live events, Control Rooms, Industrial Automation & Process Control, Military & Defence, Transportation, Education.
- Maintain and expand relationships and develop business and pipeline with key AV and IT integration partners.
- Position Matrox’s value proposition and work strategically with key industry consultants to build relationships and business.
- Actively participate in the development of competitive sales strategies for the company’s solutions.
- Proactively provide market feedback on the changing market needs.
- Maintain personal knowledge on competitive products and technologies.
- Motivate, manage and continuously develop channel partners across the territories
- Proactively deliver product training and updates to channel partners.
- Conduct both virtual and in person demos to customers and partners.
- Manage the sales pipeline, accounts and channels;
- Chase and qualify leads;
- Prospect new clients:
- Sell Matrox Products to all levels of an organization, including the Executive level;
- Provide a forecast;
- Resolve complex problems in a timely and effective manner;
- Manage multiple customers simultaneously involving a variety of resources with defined deadlines;
- Provide product demos to our clients;
- Provide thorough product training to customers;
- Interface directly with customers, engineering, product and project management on product requirements, deployment and technical issues;
- Maintain and assist in existing accounts, working with the applications engineering team to ensure customer requirements and questions are addressed;
- Travel to customer sites, on a regular basis, to educate, train and support key customers;
- Attend tradeshows;
- Maintain the CRM updated.
Qualification & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer engineering or Business.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an AV or technology oriented sales or business development role
- Understanding of different Codecs and IP streaming protocols / networking Knowledge of working with both direct and indirect sales models
- Experience of working with a CRM, (pref. Salesforce) pipeline and opportunity management.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple manner;
- Strong computer skills including high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) ;
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce;
- Strong business decision-making skills and ability to take initiative;
- Strong interpersonal skills coupled with an outgoing personality, with a customer-focused orientation;
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally to tradeshows, customer sites, and training sessions, as required
