EDUCATION/CERTIFICTION:        

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university


• Valid Texas Teaching certificate, with required endorsements for subject/level assigned

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• Knowledge of overall operation of instrumental music program


• Percussion specialist preferred but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply and will be considered.


• Knowledge of state and UIL policies governing band


• Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data


• Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills


• Team Teaching at both Junior High and High School


• Collaborate with a team of directors

 

EXPERIENCE:              

• Prefer 1-2 years teaching and assistant band directing experience
