Job Description: Personal Care Assistant

Pay: $15 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care assistance to students with special needs.

• Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting/diaper changes and feeding.

• Assist students with classroom activities and learning as needed.

• Implement behavior management plans and strategies under the guidance of teachers and therapists.

• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for students.

• Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents/guardians.

• Maintain confidentiality of student information.

• Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience working with children with special needs preferred.

• Patient, compassionate, and understanding demeanor.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to lift and transfer students as needed.
