The Field Sales Consultant plays a critical role in driving the growth and success of our window installation services. This position focuses on building strong relationships with residential clients by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that enhance their homes. The consultant will be responsible for managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact and consultation through to closing deals and coordinating with installation teams. Success in this role directly impacts customer satisfaction and company revenue by ensuring high-quality service delivery and effective communication. Ultimately, the Field Sales Consultant serves as the face of our company in the field, representing WindowRama and WI Services' commitment to excellence and professionalism.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in window installation or a closely related field within the home improvement industry.
  • Strong knowledge of window products, installation techniques, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel within assigned sales territories.
  • Ability to read and interpret window order requirements, specifications, and technical documents related to window and door installation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous sales experience in the construction or home improvement sectors.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
  • Certification or training in sales methodologies or customer relationship management.
  • Experience working with both residential and commercial clients.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to window installation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site consultations with potential clients to assess window installation needs and provide expert recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach within assigned territories.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales proposals and quotes that align with client requirements and budget considerations.
  • Collaborate closely with installation teams to ensure seamless project execution and timely completion of window installations.
  • Track sales activities, update customer records, and report on sales performance metrics to management regularly.

Skills:

The required skill of window installation knowledge is essential for accurately assessing client needs and providing practical, effective solutions during consultations. This expertise enables the consultant to confidently explain product benefits and installation processes, building trust with customers. Preferred skills such as sales experience and CRM proficiency enhance the consultant’s ability to manage leads, track progress, and close deals efficiently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are used daily to negotiate terms, resolve client concerns, and collaborate with installation teams to ensure project success. Additionally, understanding local building codes supports compliance and helps avoid potential project delays or issues.  Applicants must be able to drive, walk, talk, see, hear and lift up to 75 pounds in this role.  Employees can expect to work in all types of weather and to oversee installation work at customer homes in all seasons.  

Benefits:

  • Starting Salary $50,000 - $65,000 = annual draw plus commission(s)
