Your New Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing, the Sourcing Business Partner is a key member of AustralianSuper’s Third Party Governance & Sourcing team. On a 6-month contract, you will be responsible for leading and supporting end to end sourcing and contracting activities, delivering measurable commercial outcomes and helping the Fund secure the right goods, services and solutions at the right value and risk settings.
You will partner closely with stakeholders across the Fund and work alongside functions such as Legal, Risk and Projects to deliver sourcing activity in a pragmatic, outcome-focused way.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx, evaluation, negotiation and contracting, including statement of works and change requests.
- Develop sourcing strategies aligned to business objectives, budgets and risk appetite; advise stakeholders on market engagement and sourcing pathways.
- Support contract and supplier management activities, including contract lifecycle visibility (expiry/renewal planning) and commercial issue resolution.
- Use spend and demand insights to help shape category plans and a pipeline of sourcing opportunities.
- Contribute to third party governance requirements and risk controls (including material outsourcing governance where applicable).
What You’ll Need
- Experience delivering sourcing ad contracting outcomes across corporate services and/or technology services (or adjacent categories).
- Strong Source to Contract (S2C) capability, with working knowledge across Procure 2 Pay (P2P) and Third-Party Management (TPM) disciplines.
- Experience ideally gained within a regulated industry (financial services and/or superannuation) or within a consulting environment, having worked with regulated businesses.
- Familiarity with regulated industry expectations (e.g. modern slavery and relevant prudential standards such as CPS230) beneficial.
- Ability to confidently engage with senior stakeholders and influence commercial decisions.
- Successful management of complex projects and to manage competing deadlines within tight timeframes.
- Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, IT, Commerce or a related discipline preferred.
