Responsibilities:
- Creates Build Plans and coordinates labor with team leads
- Sets daily production goals and hold team accountable to those goals
- Oversees training of new machine builders, completing documentation when necessary
- Collects, analyzes, and presents data for the SQDC boards
- Initiates disciplinary action as necessary
- Enforces all polices and procedures
- Train new hires on job processes including crane, rigging, and forklift
- Provide input on performance reviews and employee relation issues
Complete floor layouts
Requirements:
- 10+ years of machine building experience
- Thorough knowledge of blueprints, schematics
- Previous experience leading a team or mentoring employees
- Thorough knowledge of shop math skills including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Team Oriented; ability to communicate effectively and get along with fellow employees
- Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary
- Ability to work overtime when needed and occasional weekends required
- Extremely detailed orientated
- Clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Able to multitask and have high level of organizational skills
- Able to maintain a safe and clean work environment while complying with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
- Safely operate a forklift and overhead crane
- Must be able to use power tools and have own hand tools
- Computer skills in Excel, Word and email
$38-44/hr
