Primary Objective of Bartender Position

To maximize customer satisfaction by providing quality beverage service 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Provides quality food and
    beverage service to customers
  • Approaches customers promptly
    suggesting a cocktail/wine or non-alcoholic beverages and recommending
    promotional items
  • Uses approved suggestive selling
    techniques to upsell to premium products
  • Maintains knowledge of bar
    inventory and wine selection to respond properly to customer questions
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of
    beverage recipes and mixing procedures
  • Mixes drinks for hotel service
    staff
  • Understands and follows all state
    laws and guidelines for beverage service
  • Maintains proper bar cleanliness
  • Ensures that all beverages are
    served according to specifications
  • Stocks and orders all supplies
    and glassware
  • Displays beverage selection in an
    attractive manner
  • Demonstrates the ability to resolve simple customer complaints 
  • Handles difficult situations
    effectively

performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand;
walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or
hear and taste or smell.  The employee is
frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and
lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  The
employee is sometimes exposed to outside weather conditions and the noise level
in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
