Primary Objective of Bartender Position
To maximize customer satisfaction by providing quality beverage service
Responsibilities
- Provides quality food and
beverage service to customers - Approaches customers promptly
suggesting a cocktail/wine or non-alcoholic beverages and recommending
promotional items - Uses approved suggestive selling
techniques to upsell to premium products - Maintains knowledge of bar
inventory and wine selection to respond properly to customer questions - Maintains a thorough knowledge of
beverage recipes and mixing procedures - Mixes drinks for hotel service
staff - Understands and follows all state
laws and guidelines for beverage service - Maintains proper bar cleanliness
- Ensures that all beverages are
served according to specifications - Stocks and orders all supplies
and glassware - Displays beverage selection in an
attractive manner - Demonstrates the ability to resolve simple customer complaints
- Handles difficult situations
effectively
