Job Summary
Wacousta Elementary is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a 4th Grade Teacher. This full-time position involves creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students, fostering their academic growth and social development. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality instruction, collaborating with colleagues, and actively involving parents and the community in the educational process.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive educational community.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary lessons and school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and enhance teaching skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
- Address individual student needs and implement appropriate interventions for those requiring additional support.
- Contribute to the overall school environment by participating in school events, meetings, and committees.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification for elementary education.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a classroom setting.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Proficiency in using technology for instruction and classroom management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
