We are excited to be seeking an experienced Field/Laboratory Geologist for our Dallas Office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an amazing company with plenty of opportunity to grow!
Responsibilities:
- Checking site conditions and accessibility for drilling equipment
- Staking proposed soil boring locations in field prior to drilling
- Field observation and logging of soil borings during field drilling and sampling
- Operation and reading of field instrumentation, such as piezometers, vibrating wire line piezometers, inclinometers, etc.
- Field observations related to Environmental Site Assessment and support of the Environmental Group as needed
- Laboratory testing, such as Atterberg Limits, Proctors, UU’s, Unconfined Compression Tests, Free Swell, Sample Preparation and more
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology or Civil Engineering preferred but not required.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Position will require limited overnight travel
- Ability to travel within the area daily and 25% out of the area.
- Passing of drug screen prior to employment and random drug testing program
Compensation:
- $22.00/HR starting point | pay based on skill set and qualifications
