Title: Sales and Leasing Analyst

Reporting To: Sales and Leasing Strategist

 

Position Summary:

The Sales and Leasing Analyst plays a critical role in advancing national leasing performance through financial analysis, data interpretation, and strategic insight. Working closely with the Sales and Leasing Strategist, this role evaluates performance trends, identifies risks and opportunities, and develops datadriven recommendations that support revenue growth, vacancy reduction, and operational consistency across the portfolio. 

This position partners with Regional Leasing Managers (RLMs) and crossfunctional teams to translate analytical findings into actionable strategies, strengthen decisionmaking, and support the development of tools, processes, and training that elevate performance nationally. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Analytical Insight 

  • Analyze leasing KPIs and market data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that impact revenue and occupancy. 
  • Leverage dashboards, forecasting tools, and performance models to evaluate underperforming sites and recommend targeted interventions. 
  • Conduct adhoc operational analyses to support pricing, sales and marketing strategies, and national initiatives. 
  • Synthesize insights from audits, mystery shops, and market surveys to inform datadriven decisionmaking across Sales, Marketing, Pricing, and Operations. 

Strategic Support & Performance Optimization 

  • Partner with Regional Leasing Managers to diagnose propertyspecific challenges and develop action plans that accelerate leasing velocity and improve conversion rates. 
  • Provide analytical support for national pilots, strategic projects, and performance improvement initiatives. 
  • Escalate emerging trends, operational risks, and performance insights to the Strategist to ensure timely visibility and alignment. 

Training, Evaluation & Operational Consistency 

  • Conduct national property visits to validate operational execution, assess performance gaps, and gather data to inform training and process improvements. 
  • Evaluate leasing staff performance through KPI analysis, observation, and mystery shops, providing targeted coaching recommendations. 
  • Support the development and rollout of training programs, playbooks, and tools that promote consistent, datainformed practices across all leasing teams. 
  • Collaborate with Customer Care to review sales calls and reinforce best-in-class communication standards. 

Audit & Market Intelligence 

  • Perform property and asset audits to assess readiness, presentation, and alignment with brand standards. 
  • Conduct mystery shops and market surveys to benchmark competitive positioning and identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Consolidate findings into clear, actionable insights that support strategic planning and operational enhancements. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical role within real estate, operations, finance, or a related field. 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze KPIs, financial data, and operational metrics to identify performance gaps and recommend solutions. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong Excel skill required
  • Experience with SAP, Yardi, or BI tools is an asset. 
  • Strong analytical thinking, problemsolving skills, and ability to translate complex data into clear insights. 
  • Experience conducting operational assessments, audits, or performance evaluations is an asset 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence without authority and collaborate across teams.
