Job Description

What You’ll Do

As a Therapeutic Mentor, you will work one-on-one with children and adolescents with behavioral health challenges to help them achieve stability and success in the community. You’ll provide structured therapeutic activities, modeling, coaching, and skill-building, while working collaboratively with families and a multidisciplinary team.

  • Provide individual mentoring and support in home, school, and community settings

  • Reinforce treatment goals by helping youth develop coping skills and positive behaviors

  • Model and coach youth in social skills, emotional regulation, and goal achievement

  • Collaborate with clinicians, schools, and caregivers to coordinate care

  • Support families in accessing resources and community supports

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation including progress notes and treatment updates

  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development

Who You Are

  • High School Diploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree required

  • At least 2 years of experience working with children and families required

  • Experience working with youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance strongly preferred

  • Strong communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to connect youth and families to supports

  • Cultural competence and ability to work effectively with diverse populations

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required

  • Comfortable using word processing, email, and documentation systems
