Summary
Job Summary
Responsible for evaluating project requirements, conducting site inspections, and preparing detailed cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems. Your role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, collaborating with clients and internal teams, and delivering accurate and timely estimates to support our project bids. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential for success in this position.
Essential Duties
· Evaluate client inquiries and project specifications to determine the scope of fire sprinkler system required.
· Prepare comprehensive and competitive proposals based on company rates tailored to clients' specific needs while considering materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related costs.
· Coordinate with internal and external teams to gather necessary information, working closely with PM’s, engineers, and clients to understand their needs.
· Maintain accurate and organized records of project estimates, bids, and relevant communication to support project tracking and reporting.
· Negotiate, review, and execute price and terms of agreements.
· Meet with contractors and subcontractors on site to review site conditions and discuss bid scope when necessary.
· Maintain knowledge and have clear understanding on the application of all local and national codes, specifications, and guidelines set forth by authorities having jurisdiction.
· Ability to solve problems and work well under pressure.
· In-depth knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, NFPA standards, and local building codes.
· Prepare professional, accurate, and complete proposals for approval.
· Valid Driver's License.
Qualifications
· Experience in Fire Sprinkler Estimation.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
· Familiarity with and ability to read, interpret, and apply NFPA, local and state codes.
· Develop positive ongoing relationships with existing and new customers and general contractors.
· Ability to read and understand blueprints.
· Ability to work within a team and independently.
· Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Related Experience
· 1-2 years of related experience, preferably in design (or equivalent education/training).
Safety/Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
· Ability to walk without sitting for extended periods
· This position requires some walking, standing, and squatting
· Ability to work in varying outdoor temperatures, and indoor cold temperature depending on cold box/freezer temps
· Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

Education
· Highschool diploma or equivalent
· A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements
Reports to: Sr. Fire Sprinkler Estimator
Travel: +/- 20%
Pay Rate: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
Classification: Non-exempt, In-Person, Full Time
Supervisory: This position does not have direct reporting employees
