Maintenance & Light Repair Technician - Ford Lincoln

The Maintenance & Light Repair Technician is an entry-level position designed for individuals who are mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and eager to grow in the automotive field. This role performs vehicle maintenance, safety recalls, and light repairs using Ford-approved processes, tools, and resources. Technicians will work directly with experienced mentors who will help guide their development and support their career progression within the dealership.

 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, fluid services, filter replacements, and multipoint inspections.
  • Complete Ford recalls and light repairs following OEM guidelines and safety standards.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace.
  • Deliver efficient, high-quality service with attention to detail.
  • Follow direction from shop leadership and mentor technicians.
  • Document all work performed clearly and accurately.
  • Utilize Ford service information, diagnostic tools, and shop equipment safely.

  • Pursue and achieve Ford Base-Level Certification within a set timeframe.

 

Growth Opportunities:

This position offers multiple advancement routes: becoming a mentee under a Master Technician, enrolling in the Ford ASSET program, or advancing into a reconditioning technician role. The dealership provides access to Ford training modules and professional development pathways.
