Job Description

Climax-Scotts Elementary Building; Climax-Scotts Community Schools District 

Elementary Paraprofessional

 This is a permanent position beginning in school year 2026-2027

 Work Schedule:  

  • Monday-Friday approximately 9:15 – 3:30. (Fridays can be optional) 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • A minimum of a high school diploma and then pass the Michigan Works Test.
  • If candidate holds an Associate’s degree no test required. 
  • Punctuality and regular attendance are critical for the success of the children in our building. 
  • Collaborative, constructive, communication and participation among the team is essential to contribute to a positive learning and working environment. 
  • Experience working with students preferred but not required. 

Building para duties may include reading support, small group instruction, recess and/or cafeteria supervision, and other miscellaneous duties.  

Pay Rate: Commensurate with Experience
