We’re moving full steam ahead with our Riva 5/6 wood frame development in Richmond. We’re looking for an experienced Superintendent to help bring this project to life.
The ideal candidate has successfully led a tower project from start to finish, demonstrating exceptional leadership, mentorship, and a hands-on approach to project execution, and has experience with wood-frame.

What Will You Do?
Project Management:
Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed according to design, budget, and schedule
Develop and implement comprehensive project schedules, ensuring all phases are planned and executed efficiently
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion
Conduct regular site meetings with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate efforts and resolve any issues
Plan, assign, schedule, and supervise all work related to scope or project assigned
Quality Control:
Establish and maintain high-quality standards across all construction activities
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations
Address and rectify any quality control issues promptly
Read and interpret plans and specifications, site instructions, blueprints, rough sketches, and all drawings relevant to the building's structure (including but not limited to structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and window shop drawings) to determine work activities
Coordinate structural inspections with the consultant team
Budget and Cost Management:
Work closely with the Project Manager to develop and manage project budgets
Monitor and control project costs, identifying and addressing any variances
Ensure all change orders are documented, approved, and incorporated into the project plan
Forecast concrete requirements and conduct concrete take-offs as necessary to ensure adequate volumes of material have been ordered
Coordinate, issue RFIs, and be accountable for ordering all materials
Safety Management:
Enforce strict adherence to safety policies and procedures
Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for site personnel along side safety supervisors
Ensure all site activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations
Work with site safety personnel to implement occupational hazards and ensure the site meets all safety standards
Team Leadership:
Provide strong leadership and guidance to on-site teams, including foremen, supervisors, and subcontractors
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment
Address and resolve any personnel issues or conflicts promptly and effectively
Manage and coordinate shared resources with other superintendents
Communication and Reporting:
Maintain clear and open communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management and clients
Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly filed
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members on an ongoing basis
Scheduling:
Prepare computerized schedules and update schedule reporting complete with visual workflow diagrams
Track and report daily job productions
Create, track, and monitor look-ahead schedules to anticipate and mitigate potential delays
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
Monitor site conditions and proactively address any issues that could impact project success
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record in a supervisory role
Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices
Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and quality control standards
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
Proficient in project management software and other relevant tools
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
Salary Range:
$150,00 - 200,000k
