Job Description
Overview:

The Waterjet Operator will perform precision measuring, cutting and finishing of raw materials used for manufacturing. THey are responnsible for seting up, operating and running the CNC Waterjet Equipment. 



Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Study blueprints to determine dimensions of finished piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Set controls to regulate cutting factors and edit computerized machine control.
  • Responsible for operation, loading and unloading material and parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
  • Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
  • Ensure productions rates are met or exceeded.


Qualifications:

JOB QUALIFICATION:

  • 1 year of exp. operating a waterjet
  • Computer knowledge
  • Prior Forklift Experience
  • Goal oriented
  • Willing to learn

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Shop environment, and set the example of wearing eye and hearing protection when needed.  Closed toe shoes are required due to working with sharp material and tools daily.

 

PPE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Safety glasses at all times
  • Hearing protection where required
  • Covered shoes at all times
  • Working with sharp tools daily
  • Handling material daily
