he Student Scholar, Radiology role is designed for second-year students enrolled in a JRCERT-accredited School of Radiography who are eager to gain hands-on clinical experience in a dynamic hospital setting. Under the direct supervision of certified ARRT technologists, you’ll support the performance of diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing radiographic and fluoroscopic exams across a variety of clinical areas including:
- Pediatrics
- Operating Room
- Emergency Department
- Outpatient Imaging
- Portable Radiography
- Fluoroscopy Procedures
- Learn and apply proper patient positioning techniques and equipment operation.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Deliver patient care that is timely, professional, and aligned with WakeMed’s standards of excellence.
- Collaborate with technologists and clinical teams to support workflow and patient throughput.
What you will need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent – Required
- Currently enrolled in a JRCERT-accredited Radiology program – Required
- Must be entering the second year of the program and in good academic standing
- Licensure and Credentials
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
