Position Summary

The Warehouse Inventory Supervisor plays a key leadership role in ensuring smooth dock and inventory operations. This role oversees receiving activities, inventory accuracy, employee training, safety compliance, and coordination across departments to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and control the receiving schedule with the NY Main Office
  • Perform receiving duties, verifying quantity and quality of inbound product and entering shipments into the ERP/WMS
  • Manage daily dock operations to ensure accurate and efficient outbound shipments
  • Conduct quality inspections of trucks before and after loading
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Serve as point of contact for damages and returns, update systems accordingly
  • Coordinate addons with Customer Service and Warehouse teams
  • Liaise with Maintenance to address equipment repairs or removal from service
  • Deliver daily WMS training and retraining as needed
  • Train, mentor, and provide directions to warehouse personnel
  • Provide new hires with inventory management training during onboarding
  • Participate in the hiring process and make recommendations from an inventory perspective
  • Use independent judgment when assigning work and managing inventory functions
  • Make recommendations regarding disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Serve as point person for the employee Cash & Carry program

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven ability to train, mentor, and influence others
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Experience operating electric pallet jacks and forklifts (required)
  • Computer proficiency: WMS experience preferred
  • Strong commitment to safety and inventory accuracy
