In this role, the Industrial Engineer I directly impacts how the Logistics business performs every day. By being embedded in operations—attending stand-ups, listening to frontline challenges, and staying close to the work—you identify where processes slow down, break, or create unnecessary cost. You then translate those real-world issues into clear process maps, meaningful KPIs, and data driven improvement initiatives.

Your impact comes from connecting the dots: using SQL and system knowledge to pull the right data, quantifying problems, and showing how individual tasks affect upstream and downstream performance. What You'll Do:

Responsible for determining the most effective ways to improve the efficiency of operations, increase productivity and establish process improvement efforts for the organization; while ensuring work measures to gauge operational efficiency are identified and assist departments in data collection, workflow analysis and implementation of processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops ways to increase productivity, maximize efficiency and quality, and manage human capital more effectively.
  • Propose and deliver objectives and activities to resolve process problems, improve delivery performance and profitability.
  • Apply quantitative methods and mathematical models to characterize and improve processes.
  • Communicate with vendors, staff and management personnel regarding procedures, process specifications, capabilities, project status and improvements.
  • Create and design of re-engineered processes including equipment, materials and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency while using drafting tools and computer software.
  • Communicate with management and user personnel to develop, delivery of KPI’s and operation standards.


Qualifications:

Education & Credentials:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, computer science, information systems, computer engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of post high school education and experience equal to four (4) years.

Experience:

0 – 2 years and/or work experience in industrial engineering, operations, process improvement, operations excellence or project management.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint; excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • Demonstrated experience with statistical packages, operations research and modeling software.
  • Acquire or is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Event Member or equivalent.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including the ability to convey technical information to technical and non-technical users. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trends, as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles and practices of change management.

Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
