St. John Vianney Early Childhood Center is seeking a full time toddler 1s (ages 1-2) assistant teacher to join our team. We are seeking someone who has experience working with children in a childcare setting or educational setting. An ideal candidate is someone who will establish a nurturing environment for children, maintain safe learning and play environments, and design developmentally appropriate and engaging activities.
Job Responsibilities
1. Care for and track child daily activities (diapering, meals, naps, etc.)
2. Lesson/activity planning
3. Perform annual child development assessments
4. Support students with special or individualized needs
5. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
6. Maintain a safe learning and play environment
7. Establish and maintain a nurturing and welcoming rapport with children and families
Candidate Requirements
1. Completed or actively pursuing bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or similar field (preferred)
2. Completed or actively pursuing Child Development Associate (CDA) (preferred)
3. Experience working with children in a childcare setting or educational setting
4. Pediatric First Aid & CPR certification
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Ability to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week- typically 8:30am-5:30pm.
