Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to serve as a substitute teacher. This role involves stepping in for regular staff members during their absence, ensuring that students receive continuity in their education. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering a positive learning environment and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.

Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and support to students in the absence of regular staff.
- Follow lesson plans and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Maintain classroom management and create a safe, respectful environment for all students.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents (as needed) regarding student needs and classroom activities.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
- Uphold school policies and procedures to ensure a consistent educational experience.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and documenting student learning and behavior.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Patience and a genuine interest in the educational development of students.
- Must pass background checks and comply with all school district requirements.
- Availability to work on short notice and flexibility in scheduling.
