Customer Service Representative
AgState is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. If you enjoy working with people, have strong attention to detail, and are comfortable working with computers and basic accounting tasks, this could be a great fit for you. Under the direction of the CSR Team Lead and Location Leader, you will support daily agronomy operations by assisting customers in person and over the phone, answering questions, and completing administrative tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include entering and reviewing agronomy transactions, preparing blend sheets, printing sales tickets and invoices, and assisting with bookings and prepays.
You’ll help coordinate product deliveries, respond to customer questions about products and services, and maintain accurate records to support billing and inventory. This role requires a commitment to doing the right thing, working safely, and striving for excellence in every interaction.

What You’ll Do:
- Agronomy Operations Support (Primary Focus):
- Assist with agronomy bookings, prepays, and blend sheet entry.
- Prepare, print, and organize sales tickets, work orders, and customer documentation.
- Support product delivery coordination with agronomy and operations teams.
- Help maintain accurate inventory through tracking and basic reconciliation.
- Respond to customer questions related to agronomy products, services, and invoices.
- Customer Interaction & Service:
- Provide friendly, professional service to customers in person and over the phone.
- Assist with customer inquiries related to accounts, statements, grain transactions, agronomy services, and product information.
- Support customers by locating account details, explaining basic information, and directing more complex needs appropriately.
- Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and a solutions-focused mindset.
- Administrative and Technical Responsibilities:
- Enter and manage customer payments and cash receipts.
- Maintain accurate records across systems and ensure proper documentation.
- Support shipment coordination, delivery tracking, and system data transfers.
- Assist with report generation and basic data review for daily operations.
- Collaboration & Team Support:
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and support customers.
- Seek guidance when needed and contribute to a team-focused environment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service when greeting, assisting, and communicating with customers and co-workers.
- Grain Support (Limited/As Needed)
- Provide occasional support with basic grain-related tasks when needed.
- Assist with general inquiries or administrative support related to grain transactions.
- Partner with team members to ensure customer needs are met during peak times.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
