Position Summary: The Front Office Manager will be responsible for both day-to-day front desk oversight and the strategic direction of the hotel’s sales efforts. This position supports the General Manager in driving guest satisfaction, team performance, and financial results while directly managing all sales activities to grow revenue, market share, and account penetration. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and balances operational execution with proactive business development.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve budgeted revenue goals and RevPAR targets
- Prospect, qualify, and close new business across corporate, government, relocation, and group segments
- Maintain and grow existing accounts through regular outreach, site visits, and relationship management
- Conduct property tours and presentations to showcase accommodations and amenities
- Monitor booking pace, lead conversion, and account performance using CRM and PMS tools
- Collaborate with the revenue team to optimize pricing, inventory, and promotional strategies
Operational Oversight
- Support the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest service and resolving escalated issues
- Assist with hiring, training, and performance management of department leaders and line staff
- Monitor labor productivity, cost controls, and compliance with brand and safety standards
- Participate in property inspections, quality audits, and operational reviews
- Serve as Manager on Duty as needed, ensuring smooth shift transitions and team accountability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of hotel experience, including sales and operations leadership
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving operational excellence
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Marriott systems (CI/TY, MARSHA, FOSSE, or PMS equivalents)
- Ability to manage competing priorities and lead cross-functional teams
- Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays as needed
