Compassionate and dedicated Youth Counselor with experience providing individual and group counseling to at-risk youth. Skilled in behavior management, crisis intervention, and building positive relationships with clients and families. Strong communicator and team player committed to creating a safe, supportive environment that promotes growth and healing. Detail-oriented in documentation and adaptable to flexible schedules.


Key Responsibilities – Youth Counselor

  • Provide individual and group counseling to assigned clients.
  • Develop and maintain positive, caring, and safe relationships with clients and their families.
  • Monitor, document, and report all client activities and behaviors according to agency and licensing standards.
  • Use Chaddock’s behavior management model and therapeutic interventions effectively.
  • Intervene safely and appropriately in crisis or unsafe client behaviors.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with clients, families, and external contacts.
  • Attend team meetings, clinical supervisions, and therapy sessions as required.
  • Administer and document medication in compliance with facility policies.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure client safety and treatment progress.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the assigned cottage.
  • Adhere to agency policies, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards.
  • Participate in trainings and maintain certifications related to job duties.
  • Follow all safety protocols including restraint techniques when necessary.
