About Lucina
Lucina is a maternal health platform that pairs AI-driven intelligence with embedded care management to deliver healthier pregnancies at lower costs. Acquired by Unified Women’s Healthcare with the backing of Ares Management and Atlas Capital Partners, Lucina is powered by an extensive women’s health dataset and a growing suite of AI-driven predictive analytics capabilities, equipping health plans with the insights and tools to identify high-risk members earlier, deliver more effective care, and demonstrate measurable clinical and financial outcomes.
Lucina is at an exciting inflection point. We are deepening our core maternity capabilities while building toward a comprehensive end-to-end women’s health platform that addresses the full lifecycle from fertility through menopause. Complemented by Unified’s affiliated provider network, virtual care capabilities, and enterprise scale, Lucina is uniquely positioned to become the only fully integrated women’s health solution for national payers and self-insured employers.
This is a rare opportunity to join a mission-driven organization at exactly the moment when strategy, resources, and market timing align
About The Role
As Senior Product Manager, you will serve as the internal product execution engine for Lucina’s growing product portfolio. Working in close collaboration with Lucina’s leadership team and cross-functional partners across data analytics, clinical operations, engineering, sales, and client implementations, you will help shape and own the translation of market insights and customer needs into a clear, actionable product roadmap.
This role carries real weight and real opportunity: you will implement product practices, establish customer discovery rhythms, and play a direct role in shaping a platform that is evolving from a best-in-class maternity analytics product toward a comprehensive women’s health solution.
This is a highly collaborative, execution-focused role for a builder who is passionate about healthcare and thrives when product sense and customer empathy are the most important tools in the room.
Responsibilities
Customer Discovery & Voice of the Customer
- Lead structured customer discovery with Lucina’s health plan clients and prospects, surfacing unmet needs, usability gaps, and emerging market requirements.
- Maintain a continuous voice-of-the-customer feedback loop, synthesizing input from client success, sales, and clinical operations into actionable product insights.
- Partner with the sales team to support prospect conversations, understand buying drivers, and translate competitive and market intelligence into product positioning.
- Cultivate relationships with customers willing to serve as product advisors, helping validate concepts and prioritize features before development investment is made.
Product Definition & Requirements
- Translate customer and market insights into clear, well-scoped functional and non-functional requirements that engineering and data analytics teams can build against confidently.
- Author product requirements documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria that reflect real user needs, clinical context, and business goals.
- Partner closely with Lucina’s data analytics team to understand what the underlying data and models can support, and to design product experiences that make complex insights accessible and actionable for health plan users.
- Contribute to build vs. buy analysis for new capabilities, making recommendations grounded in market landscape, technical feasibility, and strategic fit.
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in close collaboration with engineering and data analytics, ensuring the team is always working on the highest-impact problems.
Roadmap & Cross-Functional Execution
- Help shape and maintain a product roadmap that is grounded in customer evidence, aligned to Lucina’s strategic priorities, and realistic given engineering capacity and timeline.
- Serve as the connective tissue across clinical operations, data analytics, engineering, client implementations, and sales, ensuring product decisions are informed by all relevant perspectives and that roadmap progress is clearly communicated across teams.
- Drive the cadence of product planning, sprint input, and release readiness in partnership with engineering and program management.
- Work alongside the program manager to ensure dependencies are tracked, timelines are visible, and the team is set up to execute without unnecessary friction.
- Support the development of go-to-market materials – including product documentation, feature narratives, and client-facing communications – as new capabilities are launched.
Building Product Culture
- Help establish product management practices and norms, including customer interview frameworks, requirements templates, prioritization approaches, and feedback loops.
- Champion a customer-first mindset across the organization, helping clinical, engineering, and analytics colleagues develop shared habits around evidence-based product decisions.
- Participate in occasional customer and partner engagements, traveling as needed to build relationships and gather direct market insight.
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning requirements, driving roadmap decisions, and shipping products in complex B2B environments.
- Experience building analytics, data, or population health products where the core value delivered is insight – dashboards, risk tools, reporting platforms, or similar. You understand how to spec a data-forward product experience and how to work productively with data engineering and data science teams to get there.
- Experience in value-based care, care management, or adjacent healthcare settings. You understand the financial and clinical levers health plans are managing, and why demonstrating ROI is both a product and a commercial challenge.
- Familiarity with the payer landscape, either from vendor-side experience building products for health plans or from direct payer exposure. You know how these organizations buy, what they value, and how they measure success.
- Comfort working in environments where not everything is built yet. You have helped establish product practices in early-stage or growth-stage companies and know what “good” looks like even when you’re building it from scratch.
Lucina is a remote-first organization. This role is fully remote, with occasional travel to support client and partner engagements.
