FHWA Construction Project Engineer

Location: Olympic National Park, WA

Company: proHNS LLC

Type: Full-Time (Seasonal)

Pay: $65/hour + Per Diem

You’ll be the boots-on-the-ground expert ensuring construction projects run smoothly, safely, and on schedule. If you’re ready to lead, collaborate, and make a real impact, we want you on our team!



What You’ll Do

  • Managing day-to-day engineering and project oversight for FHWA construction projects
  • Collaborating with federal officials, agencies, landowners, and contractors
  • Ensuring compliance with specs, safety standards, and environmental regulations
  • Documenting progress, testing materials, and analyzing schedules



What You Bring

  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Experience working with contractors, agencies, and the public
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and file management systems
  • Familiarity with MUTCD, AASHTO, ADA standards, and environmental oversight
  • Ability to work in varied terrain and weather conditions
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active on-site

Ideal Candidate Profile

Valid driver’s license AND one of the following:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering
  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management + 5 years of lead project experience
  • 10 years of highway/bridge construction experience, including 6 years as a Project or Resident Engineer
