Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:

Responsible for overseeing, planning and directing the functions of the Customer Operations department including the booking and documentation functions of import and export cargo for foreign and domestic trade lanes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and recommend refinements in procedures and work processes to maximize efficiency and productivity while providing an optimal level of service to customers.
  • Interact directly with customers and internal personnel to resolve problems and maintains effective communication to ensure needs are met.
  • Oversee communication with appropriate government agencies assuring compliance with governing regulations.
  • Act as a liaison between Company and U.S. Customs offices in matters related to customer operations.
  • Establish department metrics, KPI’s and the implementation of customer operations training.


Qualifications:

Education & Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, transportation or related field; or a combination of post- high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of international transportation experience; with 3 - 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or management position.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook and Excel.

Other:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
