We are looking for a Glass Cutter / Factory Cutter for our branch in Darra QLD.

We are looking for an individual who has great attention to detail, is skilled in optimising, cutting & processing glass, and who can coordinate the warehouse function!

 

About the Role:

  • Apply your technical knowledge by using our new CNC laminate cutting table.

  • Apply your practical skills to efficiently hand cut & process glass for planned jobs.

  • Responsible for all inward and outward going goods, including quality control

  • Move & store bulk glass using a gantry crane

  • Assist with maintaining glass and consumable stock 

  • Be an active ‘ hands-on’ team member in the field when required

  • Maintain workshop plant and equipment

  • Hours - Flexible options available - Part time also considered

 About you:

  • Experienced in handling & cutting glass accurately, Cert III qualified glazier preferred, but not essential.

  • Sound understanding of AS1288 - Glass in buildings.

  • An understanding of glazing techniques and requirements

  • Well organised with great time management skills

  • Ability to direct or supervise apprentices when learning in-house practices

  • Experience with aluminum fabrication preferred but not essential

  • Sound understanding and working knowledge of safety practices.

  • Hold a current open driver’s license
