About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and analytical Buyer’s Assistant to support our Buying team. This role plays an important part in driving sales performance, managing inventory, and maintaining strong relationships with brand partners. If you have a passion for retail and enjoy working in a fast paced environment, this could be a great opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting and Analysis
• Prepare weekly trade and sales reports, including store performance and trade dashboards
• Conduct post season sales analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and half yearly basis
• Manage inventory reporting with a focus on deliveries and intake
• Provide ad hoc reporting as required

Buying Support
• Assist the Buyer in developing and executing merchandise strategies across brands and categories
• Analyse weekly performance to identify best sellers, slow movers, risks, and opportunities
• Maintain awareness of current and emerging sports and fashion trends, as well as the local market
• Manage the order process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and up to date records
• Maintain accurate buy plans within your portfolio

Brand and Supplier Relationships
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brand partners and suppliers
• Represent company values in all external interactions
• Communicate effectively with suppliers to achieve proactive outcomes

Inventory Management
• Support contract management processes
• Manage purchase order entry and maintenance
• Ensure product hierarchy accuracy and data integrity
• Follow correct EDI protocols
• Coordinate delivery processes and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Maintain accurate inventory and merchandise plans

Retail Support
• Communicate key product and business updates to stores
• Provide product and new brand knowledge to retail teams
• Prepare and review monthly store documentation
• Conduct regular store visits to gather insights and feedback

• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Passion for retail with an interest in sports and fashion trends
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
