 Job Title: Deburr Specialist

Employee Type: Full Time, Hourly 

Shift: Monday-Friday; 6am – 2:30pm; overtime may be required

Starting Pay Rate: $16.00 - $19.00/hr - dependent upon experience

Reports to: Machining Manager

Job Location: Wichita, KS, USA

Experience: 1 year experience with hand tools is required

 Job Duties:

  • Grind, file, sand and polish metal surfaces to a specified shape & smoothness using grinding hand tools on large dimension aerospace parts in excess of +20 ft.
  • Lift and position metal parts on bench
  • Remove burrs and smooth out contoured surfaces with power tools
  • Verify dimensions and radius, using micrometers, dial indicators and calipers as needed
  • Inspect and measure parts
  • Ensure organized and clean work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned and necessary

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years experience in manufacturing or aerospace environment, preferred
  • Previous experience with hand tools and grinders
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Machine shop experience preferred 
  • Must have the ability to be flexible on shift
  • Self-motivated and produce quality work
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Reliable transportation to work
  • Good attitude and willing to work as a team player

Working Conditions:

  • Some overtime may be necessary
  • Ability to regularly and frequently lift 50 pounds
  • Will be exposed to constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, moving, carrying light and heavy loads, and climbing stairs and ladders. 
  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment for extended periods of time.
