Mazak Corporation is looking for a Power On Technician to join the Assembly team. The Power On Technician will check machine basic functionality at machine turn on.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Checks for electrical short circuits
• Checks incoming voltage to the machine tool, and outgoing voltage from the control cabinet to the machine
• Loads and test standard parameter settings, checks PLC function
• Checks alarm circuits for correct wiring
• Checks tightness of wiring connections
• Reads electrical and pneumatic schematics
• Use of variety of small hand tools, voltmeter, and small power tools
• Electrical lock out tag out procedure
• Maintain clean and orderly work area
Education/Certification:
• High school diploma required
Skills:
• Experience with electrical wiring of machine tool
• Mechanical assembly experience
• Basic mechanical skills
• Use of hand tools
• Use of voltmeter
• Use of precision instruments
• Crane training
• Walk behind fork truck training
• Job required lifting a maximum of 50 lbs. three to four feet off the ground
• Full range of physical activities like kneeling, climbing, reaching, etc.
• Focus on safety and aware of surroundings
• Focus on completing tasks completely with no errors.
