Wyandotte, MI

 

We are looking for an Assembly and Inspection Technician to join our Performance Materials team in Wyandotte.

The Performance Materials division is at the forefront of the much-needed sustainability transformation in plastics. As a member of the Inspection & Assembly department at Wyandotte, you are responsible for verifying finished part quality and assembling different components into a finished product.  You will work with other inspectors and assemblers in the department to ensure good product quality as well as the supervisor, assembly lead, and material handlers.  You will partner daily with this team to hit production targets and identify defects to reduce waste and customer impact while following safety protocols.

During your 12-hour shift as a Assembly and Inspection Technician, you will

 

  • Inspect molded parts for defects, following work instructions to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Assemble components together to create a finished part per standard
  • Sort parts based on labeling, physical requirements, and other criteria
  • Move & organize bins, boxes, and other items

 

If you...

  • Possess a High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have previous experience at a manufacturing plant
  • Are able to work in fast-paced environment to assemble or inspect parts at high rate and quality in a safe manner
  • Are able to collaborate and work well in a team setting
  • Have the ability to lift at least 30 pounds
