The Cook is responsible for assisting in the proper and safe preparation of menu items; working with coworkers to meet or exceed customer expectations and in accordance with Health Department regulations and company vision, mission, and objectives.
Summary
- Assist with the preparation of food items that meet established specifications.
- Assist in operating food equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and established policies/procedures.
- Maintain the highest quality and appearance of all food prepared and served.
- Ensure that presentation is in accordance with standards, recipes, and procedures.
- Keep general work areas, equipment, and storage units clean and sanitized.
- Chill, store and rotate (FIFO) food items properly.
- Keep work area in compliance with health regulations and department procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
